Ta-Duo turns iPhone Duo into a gift box. Closed, the cover screen shows a velvet box with a gold clasp. Unfolded, the top screen becomes the lid with your message and the bottom screen the tray with the surprise. Choose a moment (make them smile, cheer them up, or make them scream), pick one of 13 surprises, write on the lid, wrap it, fold the phone and hand it over.

The iPhone Duo folds shut like a box, so Ta-Duo makes it one. The closed phone shows a velvet gift box with a gold clasp on its cover screen. Whoever you hand it to unfolds it, and the box opens: the top screen is the lid with your words on it, the bottom screen is the tray with the surprise. It's built around that moment: a proposal, a compliment, a fortune, or a fake spider running at them.
Making a gift takes four steps. Pick the moment: Make them smile, Cheer them up or Make them scream. Choose the surprise. Make it theirs with your own words on the lid. Then wrap it in velvet, satin, linen or leather with gold or silver hardware, or, for scares, a haunted crate, a black coffin or a jack-o'-lantern.
The 13 surprises: Will you marry me?, Jewelry, Music box, Roses and Box of chocolates to make them smile; Award plaque, Fortune cookie, Scratch card and Jar of compliments to cheer them up; Fake spider, Ghost, Jack-in-the-box and Glitter bomb to make them scream.
The scares use the whole phone: the jack-in-the-box springs out across both screens, the spider drops from the lid on a thread, and the ghost rises out of the fog.
Ta-Duo costs $2.99 once, with no ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases. It has no accounts, collects no data and makes no network connections. It's available in 21 languages.
